Admissions to Western Michigan University are now being accepted for the spring semester. Post Graduation Permit

An F-1 student’s temporary work that is closely relevant to their major is known as Optional Practical Training (OPT). A maximum of 12 months of OPT employment permission may be granted to qualified students either prior to or following their academic completion (pre-completion or post-completion).
You might qualify for a 24-month extension of your post-completion OPT employment authorization if you have a degree in one of the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) professions.
Co-op/Internship Participation
Internships and cooperative education, sometimes known as co-op education, are ways to integrate classroom instruction with real-world work experience. Accommodation
- Off-Campus Housing: Students who want to reside off-campus should arrive well in advance of the start of the term and will need to independently check for availability.
- HOMESTAY: To connect students and hosts based on their interests and preferences, our partner schools try their best to offer a wide range of homestay possibilities. The obligatory criminal reference check has been performed by all adults residing in the house, and all homestay accommodations have been inspected.
